Colorado Kannada Koota has been instrumental in promoting the language, culture, art and literature of Karnataka. Kannada language is considered to be a World Heritage language with a history and literary culture of about 2000 years.
Those of us that are located in this country for business and employment are always looking for ways to educate our children with our mother tongue and with that intention, CKK in association with 'Kannada Academy' has launched an Online Kannada School - 'Colorado Kannada Shale' (CKS).
Kannada Academy has a mission to teach Kannada in a step-by-step manner, using the advances in the field of electronics until it is mastered. Come along and join us!
ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ ಸುಮಾರು ೨೦೦೦ ವರುಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸ, ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ವಿಶ್ವ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಭಾಷೆಯೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಅರಸಿ ವಿದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಹಾಗು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆಯಿಂದ ವಂಚಿತರಾಗಬಾರದೆಂಬ ಸದುದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ 'ಕನ್ನಡ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ'.
ಕನ್ನಡ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ, ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಹಂತದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ಪಾಂಡಿತ್ಯ ಸಾಧಿಸುವ ತನಕ, ವಿದ್ಯುನ್ಮಾನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಕವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹಂತ ಹಂತವಾಗಿ ಕಲಿಸುವ ಧ್ಯೇಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
'ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲಿ' ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ವಿವರ / 'Kannada Kali' Program Details:
The Curriculum that will be used is approved by Kannada Development Authority (ಕನ್ನಡ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ).
This course is suitable for children 5+ years of age & the course will be taught ONLINE using Google Classroom.The classes for these age groups are 45-60 mins in length. Both the curriculum and books focus on building interest in learning the language.
There are 8 levels in the syllabus, with each level focusing on certain proficiency in Kannada language and takes them to next level as kids progress. All kids would start from Level 1. We provide electronic versions of the text book in pdf format and if interested, parents can buy the color text books separately.
One amongst our self (a Colorado Parent) will be teaching this course to our very own Colorado kids and we need your help. Volunteer teachers will be given basic training by Kannada Academy.
CKK committee appreciates and thanks all our Volunteer Teachers for their support, interest and dedication towards running this program and all parents that will enroll their kids into this 'Kannada Kali' program.
Adults can learn too however this course is being rolled out with the primary intention of teaching kids. Adults (> 18 years) can learn directly through Kannada Academy via Mysore University Certification Courses (Basic & Advanced).
CKS 'Kannada Kali' First batch started in March 2021, Second batch in 2022 and Third Batch in 2024.
